Apr. 15, 2019 - Novelis, Inc., the producer of flat-rolled aluminum products and recycler of aluminum, today hosted a ribbon cutting celebration to commemorate a $4.5 million investment at its facility in Warren, Ohio. The investment, announced in Nov. 2017, provides greater versatility for pretreatments, improves operational efficiency and reduces costs over time.
“It is an exciting day for our facility as we complete this upgrade,” said Paul Nelson, Plant Manager. “We are committed to shaping a sustainable world together, and this investment allows us to sustain our business here in Warren for many years to come.”
Mayor William “Doug” Franklin and representatives from the offices of Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator Rob Portman attended the celebration.
The Warren facility has 75 employees dedicated to applying coating to aluminum beverage cans and produces enough aluminum for more than one billion beverage can lids each month. A leader in the aluminum beverage can sheet market, Novelis supplies some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Coca-Cola, AB InBev and PepsiCo.
